Killerwatts (Avalon & Tristan) launched 2020 with a remix competition to mark ten years of this amazing power duo creating massive dance-floor moments together. After choosing one of their biggest tracks ‘We are Psychedelic’ as the track on offer, the songs parts were shared online and nearly 500 remixes were handed in from producers around the world. The mammoth task of working through the remixes and choosing a winner was eventually trimmed down to these final three. Two massive psychedelic dance-floor remixes, plus a third more eclectic downtempo remix. Argentina based friends Abat & Space Travellers remix came in top by adding their own fresh sounds and quality production to their remix, taking the original to a whole new level and ultimately snatching first place. Deliriant from South Africa presented a different dynamic and a touch of stomp with his remix, while the very new act Incredible Science topped the list of alternative remixes with their broken beat Chill-Step remix. To add even more international flavour to this Ep, the dance-floor tracks have been mixed and mastered by Mindspin from Israel, while downbeat guru Hedflux mastered the Incredible Science remix at his studio on the coast of Scotland. A true testament as to how wide Killerwatts music has reached, and how the collaboration of two great artists has created and even larger global collaboration in the name of music and psychedelic lifestyles.
