We have a little talk with one of our new signings and uber talents, Sanjay Groover aka Groove Addict. He tells us about his plans for a psy filled 2014, being a foodie, and his dream of living in Hawaii.
If you had to stay in one place for the rest of your life where would it be?
Hawaii! Jump from island to island, surf, do yoga and get them grooving to some Psy Trance. Oh yeah Hawai!
How does it feel to have your first Groove Addict release out?
Unreal, Amazing and humbling.
If stuck on an island, what 3 albums would you take with you to listen to, and which 2 books to read?
Albums – Pink Floyd’s- Dark Side of the Moon, Ott. Mir and the Fearsome Engine one to round things up.
Books – I don’t really read as much lately but maybe 2 movies on an iPad? – UP and Snatch.
Who have you been collaborating with and how was it? Learn much?
Three of the (many) Nano rockstars from Mars: Jezzy (Laughing Buddha) Tris (Tristan) and Dicky (Dickster) also with my good mates Riktam (GMS), Celli ( Earthling) and Trevor Moontribe (Desert Dewllers) to name a few. Just finished a remix for Joe (Sonic Species) for his upcoming remix album and working on some new remixes for Outsiders and Ajja.
Learnt a lot and shared great energy with all of them. What a blessing it is to have such a great team of mates/musicians/ legends like we do in our Nano and family circles!
Whats your plans for the next year?
Well I’m looking forward to more exposure, releases on various comps and colab albums, a few Groove Addict EP’s and finally by Fall 2014 get my Groove Addict debut album out.
Do you have any party tricks?
I always have a few tricks up my sleeve. I guess we’ll just have to find out at A PARTY!
Are the rumours true about you?
Oh Yes! Each and every last one of them. Oh wait! The one about the thing, about the thing is not really fully accurate.
Dogs or Cats?
Both, love animals.
Do you have a favorite food?
Tough question. I am foodie and we here at the foodie camp don’t have “A” favorite food, its just not done!
I have a few top favorites: Japanese, Indian (of course), Italian, French and Brazilian Churrasco.
Would you make a good politician?
Oh Definitely!
